You mean a guarenteed income the way the prebate of the FairTax proposal does? So the poorest of the poor at least have some income? So homeless families or individuals can band together and use the prebate to at least survive?

you rightfully got a grin out of me on that one...
Would an economic system similar to Norway or Sweden work in the US? They are ranked at the top of the "quality of life" list. There is very little serious discussion regarding such matters in mainstream American media.
